Ford will NEVER catch chevy in the HP department. For example, we have the ALL MOTOR 505hp Z06, runs circles around there 505hp SUPERCHARGED shelby! And dont EVEN get me started on the 630hp ZR1 Vette!!
I never read bout early "L's" being recalled for blowin out spark plugs, but maybe I've forgotten. That was too long ago.

I don't think a stock lightning makes no 380 horse at the wheels. ...Plus i see curb weight is around 46xx lbs.. Add a driver that's 200 pounds and a half tank of gas and the weight would be up there. My truck weighed in at 5380lbs with no gas and me in it
So, according to what u said, here's the math. I'll take 46xx lbs & round up to 4700 even. 200# driver. Let's say 15 gal @~8#/gal =120 in gas. That's 5020#/380 HP. Your at 5380/280 HP. Is the 280 @ crank? Let's say it is. So the "L" is over 300# lighter & has 100 ponies on you. From a dig in a 1/4 mile on your best day, & I like Chevy, u wouldn't win. On the street, as said by others, variables are at work. Regardless, if it happened, that's great.
