The only problem from about a 70 mph roll is the transmission and it's big gaps between 2nd and 3rd gear. I used to manually backshift mine into second and with my shifts at 6500 it gave a pretty good jump into third. You need some pretty serious power to reel one in on a good third gear run. They get out of third at just over 120 mph. I kinda wish I still had mine.... Roll racing was fun.

They run to over 170 mph stock and don't take a lot of time to get there. My 06 Charger made 172 mph stock..... some guys claim 180 mph but they don't have the gear and rpm for it without a tune at least. Check out SRT videos and forums if you don't want my word.

That said that Challenger ( provided it's an automatic) is no faster than the Charger. The weight difference is negigible. High 12's if bone stock in the 1/4 at best. If it's a stick..... probably slower lol. My buddies 2012 SRT8 Bee ( stripped down Charger, no leather, just a basic power windows, locks cloth seat car) has run 12.9 something bone stock. So another 6.4 car in better air I could easily believe 12.7.

Color is called "Green with Envy" btw...... and it's fugly, lol.

lol

I was kidding with the guy lmao.

The only limiter on an SRT8 is the stock rev limiter, aerodynamics and power. They can't physically govern out in stock form because whatever the limiter is they won't reach it. Mine just was hitting the rev limiter in 4th and couldn't continue pulling in overdrive at over 170 mph. I only did it once, that was enough, lol.

On a 392 car I would have to look if that has changed.

Tuned my theoretically limiter in the PCM was 249 mph.

It might have changed mow but a non road and track equipped R/T car was limited to 124 mph or something close to that and the Road and Track ( and or Daytona) was supposed to be around 140 mph. Tire ratings in those cases.

I loved that 6.1 in my car. Just no decent tuning worth speaking of so modding isn't much fun. I don't consider Diablo decent, lol.

cool beans! good kill. sux the guy turned off and pussied out. At least I gave a thumbs up to the other guy when I lost a race. Which was most of the time...ha ha. I love top end cars, my G8 GT would pull like crazy from 70mph punch! I did my own tune on it though, but other than that, it was stock. 120-130 in a flash. I am too old to take it faster, mostly just chicken. or was...I have no fast toys anymore, just a daily *******.

Green with envy huh?? Can't say that color would have been my first choice. Good looking car but I think I would want black or something else.

I didn't look close enough to see if it was a manual or automatic. I think it's the only one like that in this town so I am sure I will see him again eventually

Nice run man! I sprayed on a lightly modded 392 once. Was even for a few seconds and he slowly pulled away the faster we went

One of my coworkers has a 2012 challenger srt8. Has magnaflow muffler and the skip shift eliminator. His best time was a 13.3@102 in about 1400' DA. Not bad for a basicly stock car.

Wow...... I thought my times were bad, lol. The ET is alright but that trap speed is garbage. I used to trap between 108-110 mph on mine in DA's ranging from 3500-4500'. Some nights we were higher yet and I would only get about 106 out of it.

Who knows though as the 6 speed cars almost always are slower anyhow.

Well I was going off memory which isn't the best. I'll ask him again to make sure.
