I told him to chose a bigger cam and atleast a 3000 stall. And it would help wake up the ole 4.8

My truck came with 3.23s, I would like to go with a big cam I like the comp with the 581 lift but then I hear the biggest you can put in a 4.8 is around a 550 lift anything bigger and its overkill so I don't know.

dont go over .595 imo or jus save for a 5.3/6.0/6.2

Damn then I will run the cam my buddy has in his Z28 its a comp with a 595 598 lift sounds nasty as hell and his car made 408rwhp, I'm sticking with the 4.8

Like a couple of people have told you, you don't have the best performance stuff.


A set of long tubes with a y pipe and a good REAL tuner and not the programmer would make your truck a different animal. Programmers are shitty. I hated mine.

if i was you id run a 216/222 .595.597 114+2 itll be tame but pull an work
well with a 2800+ stall. you can go bigger but id advise a set of LTs/OR-y/flowin exhaust/a 3000-3200 stall plus you can still spray

Yeah I got have my spray!!!! I'm going to get LTs and a real tune when I figure out what cam I'm going to use!

that's from my brain i got a few tricks.

i mentioned a cam spec to Skoalbandit and he went with a Pat G cam and it came out 2* off on the intake/lobe and VERY close on the lift but the lsa was a 114 vs my 113
