Default Lost to a Mega Cab. Or did I?

The other night I took the 97 GTP Wifemobile to see if I could lend a hand to my buddy as he bolted his collection of shiny, expensive Texas Speed parts to his 2000 Vette. As I was leaving, at around 12:45 am, I was cruising on a wide, curving street that follows the river. I notice a set of headlights approaching behind me fast. The lights belong to a lifted Mega Cab, which passes me, 20 inch wheels sparkling, 5 inch exhaust pipe belching smoke at my bride's ride. The speed limit on this street was 40 km/h (about 25mph) and he was exceeding that speed by a long shot. I didn't want to let him get off so easy, so I stomped on it. We all know GTPs are decently quick, but this modded diesel had me buffaloed. I gave chase to 50 mph, then realized how stupid I was, and how bad he was leaving me in the dust. So I hit the brakes and watched his taillights. Then truck number 2 starts hauling *** behind me. Maybe it was divine intervention, maybe my pride was hurt from my first beating, but it never occurred to me to floor it when the second truck passed me. Good thing, cause the second truck was an unmarked Tahoe city police truck with a lightbar! The Mega Cab pulled into a pub parking lot, followed by the Tahoe, which promptly lit him up. I left town, laughing my *** off with the cruise set at a responsible 65 on the highway.

Responsible 65! LOL!

Lesson learned... Do Not hot rod the wives car unless it is faster than yours.

Mega cab would have slaughter you man, not a chance in heaven. My bud used to have a 3500 dually, that decimated Dmaxes between 12-3am. It was stock with a bullydog and put out 750lb of tq to the ground. I learned to respect the cummins after that. Thing was like a JET.

Nice kill goes to the city police truck!

I had a 2008 Duramax 2500 HD that was a blast to drive, I had quite a bit of work done to it and it was very fast, I used to **** off all the Cummins guys around here with it...they just couldn't understand why my truck was outrunning theirs and only spewing half the amount of black smoke theirs did...

Hey there, Yes I have seen your truck a few times. It's a really nice looking ride, a friend of mine had a black one a lot like it for a while.
