Default ls3 corvette and i ....

Out on the interstate Friday, just cruising back to my house. had been on a long boring ride with my GF, and just dropped her off. There was no traffic out, which is rare, and I was doing the speed limit, which is rare. up comes a shiny brand new corvette with a mid 30 year old guy and a pretty cute girl in it. he drops a few revs at me, and give me the lets race signal. I just shook my head at him, then he kept it up. his girl smiled at me, so I figured I would go ahead and do it up. I downshifted to 2nd, running about 65ish.. hammered on it, power shifted through 5th. Road was open far as I could see, maybe 2 miles… I am not sure what this guy had done to the vette, but I didn’t pull away like I assumed I would. I am thinking nitrous or super/turbo charger. I let off around 150ish and he SHOT by. He couldn’t have been more than a car or two behind me. I was very surprised. I guess he wouldn’t have called me out of he didn’t feel confident .

I went back by after we slowed down, and waved at his girl as I passed. ;-) was a good time.

i was on my CBR 954rr also. i should mention that. not my truck !

The whole time i was reading this I was thinking to myself, holy sh*t his truck must be fast, then i get to the end and see that you weren't in your truck. Still a good kill, it amazes me when cars can keep up with bikes.

954rr is recorded STOCK at 10.2x at around 138 mph. mine has a yoshimura exhaust and -1 sprocket up front. havent gotten it to the track, as i like to ride twisties on it, and it wheelies really easy when tryin to launch. i need some front end straps and adjust the suspension a little, and i will hit the track soon with it. i could probably get mid 10's out of it, being i am not a pro rider. all the cycle times reported are from pro riders on great tracks, of course. its pretty nasty though, especially from a roll like that. pulls the wheel rolling in second and third. had to put a GPR stabilizer (dampner) on the steering for that issue. as the revs build, the wheel rises, in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. lots of fun when you get comfortable with it, but scary with it wiggling on you.

i was thinking of a 929 i saw at the track running low 12's high 11's all night. like most people they never match those time. its all rider. when my r6 only had a slip on i beat a 954 in orlando on a roll. now im stretched/ geared/ dyno tune/ blah blah and one day plan to go for a high 9 on this 600 lol

but nice kill, and ya gpr dampers for the win!! mine will lift first even with a 8.5 inch west arm but as soon i power shift second it lets it down and stays down. but i can clutch second up but im scared to catch a powerline or something being that high in the air haha

sounds like you have a very fast 600 !! i generally clutch mine up, so controlled and predictable. i dont ride them out far anymore, too many vairiable, but i like to pull it up and ride it 100 yards or so. i have friends that love the 2 mile wheelies, but thats not for me. not that its safe to pull one for 100 yds, but less variable than 2 miles of pavement. very fun bike though. if i dragged it instead of riding curves, i would stretch it. it just kills the "flickability" of the bike. i like the look of a stretched swingarm though.

you got any pics of it ?

"...downshifted to 2nd, running about 65ish..." - ok my 2nd gear goes up to about 85

"...power shifted through 5th..." - ok maybe he has a manual or did a t56 swap

"...I let off around 150ish and he SHOT by..." - yea, this guy is full of it. km/hr maybe

"...i was on my CBR 954rr also. i should mention that. not my truck..." - oh ok, that makes much more sense.
