Default me > modded 5.9 cummins

this guy was in a 4x4 ccsb cummins. truck sounded good. it at least had exhaust and a programmer. it smoked like a freight train! glad i was in front of him! i was on my way to work this morning @ 5:00 and this guy was pacing me from a red light. he got the jump on me from a 30mph punch. mine downshifted, spun all through first and part of second, when it finally hooked, i blew his doors off. he gave me a thumbs up and turned off the highway. that was a good way to get the day started that is all.

hell of a 5.3 you have, or his wasn't running good. I've seen exhaust/programmer cummins do some work

I've beaten a few Cummins myself and I'm not cammed.

I have to say that is the way to start the day.

maybe someone will correct me if im wrong but isnt the black smoke created from unburnt fuel? ive always wondered that cause at the track ive saw two dirtymaxs with almost the same mods except the tune, and one didnt smoke too bad but the other had pit black smoke pooring out

Correct. The smoke is just the "cool" look for the diesel guys, but it's not good at all for the turbo at all.

And, if it gets really bad, you can burn up pistons doing it.

most of the 5.9 cummins ive seen with exhaust/tune run low 14's. i have a buddy with one that rapes my *** across an intersection, but i will blow by him about 300' out

it seems like the more fuel you throw at them, the better they run... to an extent... funny thing is, i am kicking myself in the *** for buying my F250 instead of a cummins
