with my hypercrapper mine used to shift out at 90ish. i had the rev limiter set at 6200 and it would do 95 and then hit the limiter. and it actually pulled all the way up there.
but i have 3.42's with 255/70/16s. weenie tires. haha.
i heard some stuff bout a turbo on one of them LS2 SSR's said it turned some really impressive numbers. ill have to find where i read it.

damn tx, your tune may be a little wrong???? mines shifts 2-3 @94-95mph @ WOT ~6000rpm, and when I manually shift by myself I shift @~6100-6200 and it is @ 97-98mph!!! shift 1-2 is about 5900-6000rpm... by the way like you said my 2-3shift hits real strong but does not seem to be strong after the shift??? I do have 3.42's though....

i dont know if it matters or not but my brother did a 87octane tune on his and it kind shifts exactly like yours (mph), I dont know if it has to be because of him having 87tune and me having 93tune???

A set of 4.10's will wake up that 3rd gear some although I know some people will argue with me about that. The biggest improvement I noticed from the 3.73 to the 4.10 switch was after 70mph.

I won't argue with you, but my experience was that by far the biggest difference going from 3.73's to 4.10's was 0-60 MPH. After that, the 3.73's had the advantage (IMO).

I went from 3:42's to 4:10's and I wish there was something in the 4:30 range. I would have gone that rout. But then the 4.8 has NO torque and lots of RPM so steep gears make big differences.

thats because i have 3.73 and you have 3.42. differences in tire sizes can make a difference too. mine used to switch out around 95 before the gears.

i would go 4.10 but 95% of my driving is freeway. i wanted 3.90's but i think 3.73 is a good all round gear too.
