Sucks being made fun of... if I had a 12 second truck even low 13 second truck I'd consider it fast!.
But those of us that don't have a great paying job or beautiful family can't afford to say we have a fast truck on this site!(9s)

I raced on of the new 5.0s that had intake/exhaust. I got massacred on the big end. I held it off untill about 60. It would take a stout truck to keep up with one on top end. What a car traps is very influential on the street, more so that the track. If they trap 110-120, like stated in this thread, it would be hard for a truck to keep up with one. I beat a lot of cars that should trap around 105 on top end, but my pull was stopped and i just maintained the jump I had. If you beat a new 5.0 on top end, Id say your truck should be capable of low 12's or high 11s.

Yes that was just 1/8. We don't have a 1/4 mile track here. I'm sure he would have chreaped by and the end of a 1/4.

Doesn't matter what it is... Truck... Honda... Trans Am... Modded.. Stock.. 13s are 13s and 9s are 9s.

A full bolt on 5.0 should *easily* trap 93+mph in the 1/8.. And shouldn't have any issues at all running a mid 7, high 7s would be a bad pass/horrible driver.

400+HP
390TQ
3500#
Aggressive gearing

And you want me to somehow think a heavy cam only truck is going to be there with it... Let alone a full bolt on car. FWIW if you aren't aware, full bolt on 5.0 should make 430+Rwhp pretty easily and will weigh less than stock because of normal modding (cats/mufflers/etc)

You boys need to go find some C5Zo6s to walk all over, shouldn't even be a race.

This is what I'm saying...

Here is your PB JC03SS
8.65 at 79.16 mph and pulled a 1.86 60ft

A bone stock 5.0 will run bottom 8s @ 88mph roughly, let alone a full bolt on 5.0.

I'm sorry, with a competent driver you aren't touching that... And I'm talking from a dig, from a roll it would look like you were sitting still.

Not knocking on anybody's ride, just telling it how it is. I also am not saying you didn't beat a 5.0... You pulled one, and probably had a 2.4 60' with grandma shifting. Even an average driver in a 5.0 would easily run mid 8s @ 85+mph.

I know what there suppose to run but it didn't. I didn't come on here to butt heads back n forth. Anything is possible. I won he lost bottom line. Maybe he needs driving lessons but that's not my problem. All I know is he didn't wanna race me again after that.
