Default Ran a built 5.0 mustang

I was out in town last night, took the long road to the highway for obvious reasons. A 5.0 mustang drives by that sounded built to hell; I'm idling there and I hear the deep rumble thats not coming from my stereo, so it gets my attention. I'm in the other lane behind someone, but he lines up with a bike and they take off into the distance. I catch back up with him and the bike is gone, but I get in front of him in traffic (hard to get side by side it was so crowded) and the light goes green so I nail it off idle and it smokes the tires real good. So this guys like 'oh ****!' lol now starts riding my bumper real close. We're going about 40 and I see about half a mile of no traffic in my lane so I nail it with this guy behind me. He keeps up for a little while, but about 70-75 I start pulling away. The dude knows its on now, so we get side by side and hit it from about a 30 roll. He starts the run a split second sooner than me so he's probably thinking he's got the edge on this race. But the TVS wakes my truck right up and I take him by about 2 car lengths in about a 1/3 of a mile before we slow down. Best part is at the next light he finally rolls his window down and starts giving me excuses for his loss lol. I just said nice car and went on my merry way.
Guess the moral of the story is a beast cam only gets you so far without boost!

Haha those mustangs are hit and miss. If it's built right, they are a very quick car for the money. But the majority of the time they are pigs. Good kill!

No kidding, with the way it sounded I thought I might be setting myself up for failure. I got lucky haha.
Some of those are tough though, a buddy of mine has a mustang with that body style and sounds similar, but it has chevy drivetrain and runs 9s...had it been that car, my truck would have been nothing but bug splatter on his grill lol.
