Default RST Silverado VS. Mustang Bullit

Well my friend met me up at Sonic in his bullit and we got to talking and decided to run. His car is bone stock.
My truck has the following:

JBA Shorties
Intake
Corsa
Shift Kit
Performance Tune

We lined up from a 15 roll and after 3 honks we were off. I expected him to pull a car or so on me but surprisingly he was at my back bumper the whole race. We shut down at about 85. He didn't miss a shift or anything. He was kinda dissapointed but overall it was a really close race.

BTW: My last time out at a 1/8th mile i ran 9.6's with traction problems (20's with street tires)

Good win and nice truck. A 9.6 puts you at mid 14s in the 1/4 i guess and since it was from 15 or so you got better traction so its not a surprise you did that well. Good Kill.

There's a red RST rollin around in town that i'm wanting to get ahold of, about what do they run in the 8th stock?? I know i saw a stock rcsb 5.3 run a 10.2 so i'm thinking they run about a 9.9 or so, that sound bout right?

Congrats on your kill. I hear those bullits are mid to low 14's vehicles in the 1/4.

Thanks everybody, yea bullits are pretty quick but this one was stock with two passengers and they only put out about 235-240 rwhp stock. But of course he had a weight advantage.

Well there are two diff. RST Setups...

1. 4.8 5spd, with jba shorties, intake, exhaust

2. 5.3 Auto, same mods as above stock.

Before the tune and shift kit(stock RST) i was running 9.9's in mid 90 degree weather. Not sure what the 4.8 stick would run but prob somewhere in the 10's.

Yeah, gotta be, they ran 0-70 at 10.3, when i had just an intake and exhaust i was pulling 0-70 in 10.2, they're supposed to have a little over 300HP too, but when i get my locker i should be close to mid 9's or so

The 4.8L manual will run the same or better than a 5.3L auto with similar mods, trust me.
