I've heard that, but some ppl will still say the 5.3 will be faster b/c 9 times out of 10 the automatic will shift faster than the person driving the 5-speed or something like that. But then when i was completely stock i ran one at the track, he was like half a tenth faster but i was 1 mph faster, but he pulled me during the spinning, not the shifting. But when i hooked i walked and passed

 

That sounds about right. I've raced more 5.3s than I can count and I used to lose some ground too because the autos seem to contain wheelspin better off the line. But by 3rd gear I'm comin by! However now that I have the Eaton, traction bars and a decent set of tires, I don't have to play catch up anymore.

hey JM how much of a gain you feeling from the cam? Any decrease in gas mileage?

 

I was always saying that the mustangs stock really aren't that much competition either, I see your times are kinda close to mine with the RST, sweet kill, I love it when a truck fools those mustang guys!!
