Those trucks are just like the cars.............if ya can't shift, stay the hell out of it. There is a guy in the NC chapter at DTW with a new RCSB srt 10, he pulled alot of 13s his first time at the track, 13.7 was the best if I remember right, bone stock. Seems the 04 models have something plastic in the shifter assembly that for the best results alot of guys have swapped over to an aluminum or metal one that has really helped with the shifting on the truck. What exactly it was I can't remember, one of you srt guys should know what I'm talking about here and chirp in. But they too are just like anything else with big power..............traction impaired!

I know a lot of them were complaining about the 2-3 shift being very hard to make clean, maybe the had that stupid 2-4 skip in em like the Vipers and Camaro did with the same tranny. Get that fixed, and they'd be a monster if they hooked.

Definitely traction impaired. In terms of the 2-3 shift, it sucks. The gate seems to get in the way when under full throttle. Not that it goes into the wrong gear, it just won't go into gear at first. Most of the SRT10 owners are replacing the shifter to get rid of this problem. Obviously no fix from the dealer. You just cant hammer 2-3 like you can with any of the other gears. But like I said, there are fixes out there.
