I ran a 15.3 at 2200ft so it's around a 14.8 at sea level. I am new to drag racing and only 18 so my driving can be to blame for some of my bad times and my motor is still breaking in because i should have been solid mid 14's with that stuff. he ran a 16.4 so that can be corrected to around 15.9 or so at sea level.

yea i'm only 18, and one of my friends has a hemi rumble bee, and he would bet my old 1987 chevy (in my sig) from a start, but he couldn't bet me from a 20 punch. Those hemi are real strong from the start. Havent got to race him in my new truck im sure he would bet me, but i'd still like to race him just to see how close i could get to him.

if he's stock those rumble bees are slower than stock regular cabs because they are heavier. the one thing besides driver inexperience that is holding me back is that I have an open rear diff with 3.55's. Once I get some 3.9s or 4.10's with a posi i will be much quicker.

You should be able to beat the Tibby, maybe not by much but it should be a win for you. Yah the hemi is strong out of the hole, but falls on it's face in 3rd, Torque Managment closes the throttle plate by 10% in 3rd gear.

Bust that Tibby in the ****, I raced one with the v6 and exhaust, me with just the TCM mod and I gave him the holeshot. I walked on by him in a short time and and at the next light he asked me what I had done and I said nuthin yet, he tried me again and lost again. You should have no problem.

5-speed car with a competent driver should go mid 15s. Please note I said "competent driver."

It's really hard to gauge what one car will do against what another did because of all the variables. There are a lot of 16 second V6 Probe GTs out there (very comparable car to the V6 Tibby), but mine runs 14.90s. Of course, I drive it like I'm trying to blow it up...
