Default Walked a G35

Well, I caught somewhat of a race saturday while going to put a little gas in the truck, I was cruising at the speed limit on my way back to the house. I'm on a 3/ 3 lane road, I'm in the middle lane, when I see an Infinity G35. I watch him cutting through traffic in the rear view so I pumped his brakes & stalled him a little while using the traffic to keep him back for a mile or so. I kept an eye on him the whole time while he was stuck to my rear bumper & when a free lane opened up next to me, he went for it, so I punched it in 6th while cruising & walked him maybe a length from 40 to 60 & then I let off. He came up beside me & motioned for 3 honks rolling, I said ok, & then dropped the 6 speed down until I hit 2nd maybe around 25 or less and was revving about 3 grand & was even with him steady, then I gave him the thumbs up. He honked off 3 & I hit it, pulled right about 3 lengths from 25 to 60. He quickly pulled off in the neighborhood & now I'm happy driving my TRUCK for the first time again in about a month. I've heard the Infinity G35's are pretty quick & I've never ran one until now, but I'm guessing it was stock & not quick enough., aren't the G35's the same as the 3.5 Altima's, & 350Z's just a lil' different body & interior between each? Maybe I can catch a 370 & try, I've heard the 370's are BEAST, but I'm down!

My mods are current in my sig, my rear tires are almost bald & I spin a lot, so I'm sure that the rolls helped me out.

I know a G35 aint really nothing special but what yall think? Was he going ***** out and racimg or just playin around with me & Pussyfootinit?

Nice man, yeah they def aren't slow for a stock car. What year was it and was it a coupe or sedan?

The 2008 g35's do about a 13.8 in the 1/4th mile stock.

My girlfriend has a 03 G35 coupe. She let me put an intake on it and do a few cosmetic mods other than that its stock.. Overall its a cool car but nothing to brag about performance wise. Guess its a perfect chick car... Be careful with the 370s, they are a totally different animal.

Edit- Depending on the year there were two style VQ35 engines in the G35/350z's. The 05+ have a "REV UP" motor... The Rev Up motor has variable cam timing on both exhaust and intake where as in the non Rev Up is only on the intake side. It also has a higher rev limiter at 7K RPM. The Rev Up also has strong connecting rods, con rod bolts, crank, exhaust cams, etc.

I test drove an 04 350z when I was looking at buying one, they're definitely very fast. But you've got a 6.0 in a regular cab, you should beat quite a bit of things out on the road.

Awe man, year, I have no idea, they all look similar to me. It was a 2 door coupe though.

Yeah, its the quickest thing I've had thus far, but not fast enough yet!

It holds its own though, I've got a buddy who has a buddy with a 4 door SRT-10 that I'm trying to get to run me, but he wants to run for $200. I'm just in it for the fun though & don't really wanna put $$$ on it, espec
ially not knowing at all what he has, unless its from a dig :-) since they have no traction at all. I've already ran a 4 door SRT-10 on 2 rolls & barely inched him out & started walking him a little on both runs, but I'm just not down for throwing $$$ on it, to me its all in fun. But yes, my truck is hella fun to drive. Will be even more fun once I do the Turbo, Stall, & Gears :-)
