haha sorry guys, the truck is sitting with the stock hood back on now but friday he will have the new hood and it will be painted and installed sat. i just hope this next hood is better than the last one. i will do what i have to do to get pics up on here this coming weekend.

also, i am going to live with the stock ss grille and HD hood combo. This hood comes forward and hangs down just a tad more in the front than the reg hood which covers almost 100% of the angled tops of the grille. To put in perspective for those of you without the ss grille to look at it seems like with the reg hood you can see the tops of the headlights sticking out a bit from the leading edge of the hood...with the HD hood it actualy stuck out a tad further so that it covered the tops of the headlight and sat perfectly flush with the front of the headlight. hope that explains it a bit. pics would be nice i know...

overall this HD hood looks much more at home on the truck i believe because the raised front matches the big blocky front bumper and large grille openings

I wish I had pics of my 05 HD hood. My body guy is just cutting the 05 HD hook to fit my truck so I dont have to switch out to that 05 grille. I dont really like that 05 grille, so it was a good alternative for me. Once my truck comes back out of the body shop, itll have the new hood on it.

sweet, i dont think the hood realy lined up that bad. def didnt need cutting in my opinion but your truck is obviously more show than mine so thats your reason i supose. i cant wait to get this thing on! 4 days!

Without using the 05 grille, the 05 hood needs some work to fit the 03's and 04's.

this is true if you want to retain the 03/04 front line that meets the grille nice, im happy with the straight lipped 05 look, it comes down a bit further but thats better than being short!
