That looks terrible, as do most GM paint jobs. The paint finish on my brother's Ram is 100 times shinier and smoother than my truck. Plus I see lots of areas on mine where the paint coverage is so light I can see the primer underneath. Not anywhere on the exterior, but under the hood and in fender and door jambs.

actualy when you "pop it" and just walk around front and pull up on the hood before you realy put your hand in to find the lever there is more room. enough room that i pull that lever with my hand facing the opposite direction that I used to. the hood sticks forward further so i think thats where you gain the room.
