Does anybody know if this works a 2006 grill in a 2004 truck

Yes, a 2006 grille will bolt onto your 2004 truck. However, it will not look good unless you install a 2006 hood. If you look closely, the 2006 hood is straight where the grille and hood meet. The 2004 hood has an arch to it.

Itll fit. But youll want the hood with it. Otherwise itll look wierd. Plus youll have to adjust the hood stops on your truck now so the hood doesnt hit the grille when its closed.

I have an 06 grilll thats pretty much brand new off my truck if you want to buy it.

I looked into a cowl hood to replace the one I just wreaked but they dont make cowls hoods for 06 yet. oh well it was a thought ..thanks though..Your truck looks great by way keep up the good work .

Yeah , that sux, i have my Cowl hood from my 04 that i wish i could reuse on my 07 coming. But i do like the buldge on the front of the hood.

I think it's NOT going to fit. I've seen the 03-05 grilles fit with an 06-07 hood, but I think the opposite configuration will have interference. In any case, it will look weird without the hood.
