Curious if anyone knows if it will fit or not. Looking at it, it may unless it comes in too far between the DRLs...

 

not sure on the 06, but I was told the front off a 03-05 will fit the 99-02 years, You will need the fenders, hood, bumper brckets, bumber, front valance, head lights, head light buckets, and grill. they may be a few more parts needed. I'll tell you for sure once I get my hands one some cash to buy a front clip.

 

You Can Just Get Buy With The Hd Hood,grill And Bumper Pad And Bumper, You Can Just Modify Your Brackets

 

yea that's what I'm wanting to know. I know I can swap out the whole front end. I'm wanting to keep the same 99-02 style fenders, hood, and headlights and just use the 06 grille and 06 SS bumper.

 

hmm.. thats funny because i am the bodyshop manager at a chevrolet dealership and there is noway in hell you are gonna get the new hood on 99-02 fenders. you will need hood, insulator,fenders, bumper,top pad, lower valance,all bumper brackets including the ones welded to the frame, headlamp supports, headlamps, parklamps, fillers, grille, grille straps, and bowtie. other than that everything else should work

alright, first of all... I dont think what I'm asking is clear. Say I have an 02 HD. Can I put an 06 Grille and SS bumper in place of the Grille and bumper that I have now? What all does it take.
Secondly, I think that getchusum is the only one who answered my question. I think he meant using the 02 HD Hood, it can be done. Edawg if you can shed some light on the question I'm really asking I'd appreciate it. I'll PM you if you dont happen to catch the thread.

As I stated, I know I can swap the whole front end... duh. I just want to know if the 06 grille will fit in an 02. Not the headlights, fenders, hood, and other crap. Thanks!

 

if buy clear you mean you don't care what it looks like? then yes, anything is possible if looks do not matter. just picture the rounded headlamps next to the square openings in the grille. not sure if the hood would even line up. if the swap is NOT done correctly, it will look like you were in a collision and could not afford to buy the correct parts to fix your truck.

go to ebay and do a search for 02 hd save the front view picture of truck.
do the same with 06 hd. put the pics side by side and you will see what i mean.

k heres a comparison if the trucks. 06 grill has an angle to it, there are going to be gaps. And you would have to make something to fit between the headlights and DRLs. I'd imagine you can do it, its just not gonna look right the least bit IMO.
