Question 07+ Chevy/GMC Headlight Modification

Just wondering if anyone had modified these style lights yet? I did a search and didn't really come up with anything.

I'm really wanting to do something similar to the Ford Harley Davidson Headlight scheme. Add a little black inside the housing but not tinting the lense as they do.

Some pics would be nice, or a referral to another thread.

I'm wanting to add black because of my truck being Silver Birch with alot of black accents. I have a black grill and really not a big fan of billett grills, and I really don't want to paint the lower dam on the front.

^This. In the exterior sub forum there's a sticky on how to get them apart, and then they just sand off the "chrome" and mask off the bowls.

I need to clear mine, just hate the idea of breaking them open on my own. Sometimes I'm like a bull in a chinashop.

Its not hard to cut them open and remove the amber piece. The longest part is just waiting on the silicone to dry.
