yea i used to have the nittos in the back but they only have a treadwear rating of 300. so they wore out fast too.

i just found some falken 275/50 with a treadwear of 420. anybody try this brand of tire?

Kumho Ecsta has a 420 tread wear too...

well crap we are talking about 2 different styles. i was talking about ecsta 711 or ecsta stx in a 255/50 which both come with 320 treadwear. sorry for the confusion.

My vote goes for the Toyo Proxes. Had a set on my 01 and loved them. In fact I still have em in my garage. Too bad they are 16's and not 17's
I plan on getting a set for my 04. Just figured I would wait and let the factory Good Years wear down a bit. No use throwing away brand new rubber

I'm running the 17" Denali wheels with Pirelli Scorpion Zeros 285/60/17 and absolutely love them! They're hard to get used to because they're so damn sticky, y'a can't burn 'em off at will when they're new. I just replaced 2 last week and they were worn pretty good and would roll smoke like the duke boys!!! LMOA Really though, they look wide off the truck but fill up the wells nicely and don't stick out at all, very important to me! PLus, they ride like a dream, low road noise, no "droning" on the highway. ONly drawback is that they wear a little quick due to the soft compound, but you cxan get them at the tire rack for about $140 each or around there. Nice tires good tread pattern and f'in sick grip like a damn vette!! My 2 cents anyway!

i just got some Kumho ecsta 711 for the rear today. they are a 255/55/17 size. nice tread pattern too. i can post some pics if anyone is interested in what they look like on a truck.
