Default 2003 Tail lights on 2000 Truck

Will these lights just bolt right on, or is there some wiring or harness altercations necessary??

The '03s have a different wiring harness that you'll need to convert

Do you mean just different ends?? Or are there more or less bulbs than the 2000's?

Its a different wiring harness you have to put in there.
Not sure about the bulbs, I assume there's the same count of bulbs, but dont quote me on that.

I installed the 03 lights on my 03 GMC and they didn't have the harness. It is really simple to add the extra light the 03 tails have. Go to AutoZone and pick up a couple license plate sockets that hold the 194 bulbs, pack of 194 bulbs and some quick connectors. Locate the "lights only" wire on your existing harness and use the quick connector to splice in the 194 socket. You will have to trim a couple tabs off the socket but it is very simple and a pocket knife will do. All that is left is to open plug the sockets into the tails and your ready. You may have to rotate the factory sockets a little to match up with the tails and you will probably have to modify a hole or two for the factory sockets to pop in but the whole thing takes about 10 min for each light and works great. Since the 03 harness is not available from GM, $10 at AutoZone and 20 min of work isn't too bad!
