Question 255/50/20 Tires

Who's running this size tire? What are your opinons on them? Do you like the ride comfort, tread pattern, etc. ? Post up some pics if you have any.

My cousin (who bought my Silverado) may be needing new tires soon and I told him about this size tire. He wants to see pics of them and get everyones input on how they like them (I want to see them too). He would be going from 275/45/20 Goodyear Eagle GT II's, so I'm sure anything is an improvement over these tires I may even run this size tire on my new truck if I decide to get 20's for it.

Cool, the 265/50/20 may work on the truck (it's the one in the sig). Although, I think they would be just a tad large (diameter wise) because the truck is lowered 2/4 with a DJM lowering kit (lowered control arms and shackle/hanger).

I still wouldn't mind seeing it if you have some pics to post

i use to work at a sheel shop and i got those tires because i was lowering my truck and wanted the front tires to be tucked pretty tight with the 2/4 drop. i havent dropped it yet because the hangers i have are wrong for my truck and i havent gotten around to buying or finding the correct hangers. i will try and get you a pic of it tomorrow

I would stay with the 275/45/r20 hankook makes some nice ones. I am installing these on my regular cab when I put my hotchkis 2/4 drop on in the late winter.

That's another option and I didn't even know Hankook made a tire in this size. Thanks for the info.

It's the front that's lower than you guys running 2" drop springs. The DJM lower control arms tend to be lower than 2" springs (at least this truck is). The 275/45/20's have even rubbed (not too often) on the front fenders because it's a little lower than 2". That's why a 265/50/20 tire won't work on this truck (at least for the front).
