Default 275/55/20 on 2" rear drop??

thats almost a 32" tire on the Tahoe 20s, will they rub on a 2wd with just 2" lowering shackles in the back? ive read with the backspacing ill be ok.

Thanks in advance

Bill

That's what came standard on a VHO, you should be fine lowered with those.

ya i think that was what was on all the GM 20s stock... just seems like a large tire diameter for a 2wd.

Thanks Zippy

You'll be fine. I ran stock 31.6" tires for the longest time with a 7" drop

I would go 285/50/20s if I were you. I went with the smaller 275/45/20s and hate the way they look on my truck. Way too much wheel gap now.

You will have no problems with those tires. The biggest reason being that those tahoe rims have a ton of backspacing. A 3x.x" tire won't always fit on a certain truck with or without a drop. Backspacing plays a huge factor in how they will fit on your truck.

well eventually id run w/e tire size would fit, problem is i can get takeoffs with stock tire size with like 250 miles for cheap... so id have to run the 275/55/20s till they were gone
