275/55/20 on stock height???
wanting to know if this would be a good combo. I don't plan on lowering the truck anymore than a 2/4, if even at all, so I want to get a wheel/tire combo that will not look weird on the truck. i would like to run a bigger sidewall tire to take up some of the gap, vs a low profile tire on a lowered truck.
Also, I calculated that a 275/55/20 would be 31.91" tall compared to a stock 16" wheel/tire combo being 30.06". Is this near 2" difference in height warrant me needing to get a tune to recalibrate the speedo??
Can I get some suggestions and pics of a tire size to go with on a 20" wheel? I am probably going to order everything soon, and want to make the right decision the first time.
If you think a 275/55/20 is a good choice, could you offer some suggestions of what tire to go with. I work for Discount Tire, and get employee pricing on these tires.

2wd or 4wd big difference in appearance and size
2wd 255/70/16 about 29.5 in tall then 20's should be 265/50/20 or 275/45/20
4wd 265/75/16 about 31. in tall then 20's should be 275/55/20 or similar
Gm oe for 20's on 4wd is 275/55/20

so what do the 2WD Silvy SS Trucks get?? I thought that was also a 275/55/20. This is a 2WD truck, btw, forgot to mention that, sorry.
I would prefer to go with a bigger tire. I don't want it to look like its ALLLLL wheel. I want a look similar to the 20" Hemi Trucks, or the SS Silvys.

I have a 2/4 drop with some 275/45/20 and it is a perfect size...
as far as tire's I would get the General Grabber UHP's, seems like alot of people here like that tire... and they are at a good price...

By the way, that is a great picture of a sweet truck! I like it alot.

275/55-20's are too tall, IMO. Unless you have a deep rear end ratio (4.10's, etc) those tires will hurt your braking and acceleration performance. I think 285/50-20's would be a better choice for performance and looks.

The 275-55R20s WILL rub or at least they did on my 04 2wd. It wasnt bad, but just enough to be tacky. I had the Pirelli Scorpion ATR, They are a little agressive looking, not really a street agressive though.
