Ya thats a huge killer, infact its the only reason mine isnt installed yet. You should look into a Detroit Truetrac... the price for the 8.625"s has dropped significantly over the past few years... you can probably get one for under $400 BN and the guys that have them on here swear by them.

I'm undecided on that. I've got factory ZX3 ride control suspension..basically push a button and the shocks get stiff so it rides like a caddy when towing...so I don't know what to do with the shocks.

lower it, toss the shocks and use the botton for a line lock..... look at the button, makes since doesn't it. BTW, my ZX3 made it go from stiff to stiffer, lol. Not much use to me.

I think it's great for towing, when your empty and ride control is engaged it's a rough ride, but when haul/towing a load and ride control is engaged it rides really smooth and the truck isn't squatting. If there was a way to push that button with some adjustable shocks and it softened them I would definitely do it...then I could have street shock hardness and strip shock hardness controlled by a button... THAT would be ****. Until then I'm looking into a 4l80 swap and gears/tru trac.
