Default 4" lowering leaf springs help

Guys,

I'm wanting to lower my 01 Siera Extendacab 2/4 and really trying to get out of putting lowering hangers on the leaf. The lowering spindles and rear shackles are no problem but I don't have the tools or time to swap the hangers. So, my question is how do 4" lowering leaf springs effect ride quality. Is there any change and how much towing capacity do I give up?
Also, besides Hotchkis, who makes lowering leaf springs?

Thanks for any help,
Chuck M.

With leafs the ride is a little bumpier - but I am using IAS shocks and that helped a ton
The swap is easy and quick and can go back to stock in a couple of hours.
I like mine

GrayGMC, I sent you email.

Thanks for feedback guys. The Edelbrocks sound like a good idea. Do you know the part numbers you used and recommend a vender to purchase?

Summit - best price I found

Check Edelbrocks website under the IAS
they make the IAS shock - for our trucks with a 2/4 drop.

I think Ground Force makes some lowering leafs but I don't know the quality compared to Hotchkis.

Ground Force 3/5 kit:

9909
3"
5"
99-03
C-1500 Ext. Cab (New Body Style, coils, shackles, leafs, shocks)
