9145 chevy fogs to 9005 silverstar ultra update!!
I have silvania silverstars lows in my 04 silverado now and love them. I heard about the 9005 high beams fitting the highs so i bought a set of both 9005 and 9006 ultra silverstars for my truck. I will take pics of how the ultra silverstars 9006 compare to the standard silverstars 9006 which I have in there now, and also keep you guys updated on how the 9005 act in the fog light housings and if I have any burning or melting issues.
Next weekend im headed back down to LA area to pick up my tbss with the blower and the lights will be on a straight 7 hours. Ill see in that time im sure if the 9005 lights inside the fog lamps melt or anything like that.

youll like them, i love mine, bright as hell, i get flashed by old people every now and then with my low beams on, and with the highbeam silverstars i get flashed by every car theyre really bright...they dont show to much blue at first but as the bulbs have more use a little more will show, but it looks better than all blue (imo) good luck!

yah i just want to test if its worth the guys getting the ultra compared to the regualr silverstars.
i have a lift on my truck and the lights are allways in peoples mirrors im sure it will be in their mirrors even more now lol. the truck i bought in nov of 03 and it just truned 11000 miles, i had to tow it to la and that was about 800 round trip so i dont drive it that much.
my highbeams i left stock because i dont really care about those. My main concern are the driving lights and the fogs. Im sure with the 9005 in my foglamp area it will light up the road alot more.

Silverstar only makes a 3157NA. Thats what I have in mine. You can barely tell in this pic, but they are a purple0sih color, almost iridescent (i think thats the word my tired *** is trying to think of) and give off a cool shine during the day, and are very very bright orange, not dull at all, during the night.

holy smoke i put the lights in tonight
the silvania silverstars vs the silvania silverstar ultra is not much difference. The ultra are a tad brigher but the fog lights i was like wow. Drove around the entire night no melting issues (i had them on for over 2 hours straight). Ill be driving to LA on wednesday to pick up my tbss from blownchevy and ill have the fogs on all the way. They are so bright i love it. Yah with a lift it gets in peoples rear views but honestly there is a great saftey jump by using them
here are a pics of the stock fog vs the 9005 silvania silverstar ultra bulb
