Question advice for cleaning head/tail lights

The head/tail lights on my truck are a little bit oxidized. They aren't horrible, but they do have a slight haze on them. What would be the best way to go about cleaning them up? I've seen a few products at Autozone, but I'm not sure which one would be better. Also, are there any techniques I should try or avoid?

Thanks
-Jim

What i use is 2000 grit sand paper, plastx wax, and meguiars hi-tech yellow wax. Wet sand the lens, then apply the plastix, the the wax. When you wet sand it you'll see all that yellow crap come off.

3m has a headlight rejuvinator kit that you use with a drill. It comes with alot of different sanding discs and a polishing pad. I just saw them at Walmart. I think they were about 20 bucks.

I have hand sanded and then polished headlights before and the 3m kit seems like it would work alot easier.

cheapest way to do it,, go get some 3m de-oxidizer for fiberglass. yes, its made for fiberglass, but it takes all the oxidation off on all the lights ive used it on. you use it just like you would use wax. wax on, wax off.

novus polish, its a 3 step process, little difficult to find, but worth it, it also fixes scratched CD's, DVD's, games etc..... Worked great on my Z28 headlights.

just get a small buffing pad for your drill and some rubbing compound and got to town. unless it's really bad then you have to wet sand before you buff 2000 grit works good. Don't waste your time with waxes and "special" headlight cleaning kits.
