Default All opinions needed! Mirror cap and door handle question.

I was wanting to see what matched mirror caps and handles looked like on white trucks. If you have some pics they would be appreciated! I don't know if I want to get my handles painted or do the escalade ones from the dealer. My truck is a dd and I deer hunt a lot so I'm wondering if the paint will chip and scratch off. Thanks in advance for your help! Any opinions are welcome. "by the way im on a college budget too" Here is a pic of my truck

Nothing really compares to factory quality paint. Since your truck is white you could check out your local car parts store and pickup some white paint. In my opinion I would buy oem door handles already painted and just paint the mirror caps and tailgate handle by yourself. Just use some adhesion promoter and filler primmer.

I think that leaving the mirror caps chrome and getting some Esky handles would look good IMO (that's what I'm doing but my truck's black) You could color match the mirror frame...

I got my painted handles off of ebay and they held up good so far. Here is a pic what they look like.

I am in the process of painting a set of mirrors all white at the moment.

Escalade handles with Street Scene mirrors. Been on the truck since 2001, they have been very durable.

I went to the dealer the other day to get a price on white door handles from a tahoe and they wanted 200 for the set. I thought that was a little steep for my truck. Maybe someone with a nicer truck but mine is a dd and I rather dump money into performance.

You should be able to find them cheaper on ebay. No way I'd buy something like that at the dealer.

Everyone has SS mirrors, I'd say paint the OEM ones. IMO the oems look better.

I just got done painting my mirrors over the weekend and they turned out great. I can't beleive that it would make that big of a difference, but it does.

What kind of paint/primer did you use? Did you take the caps off or leave them on the mirrors?
