Default Anyone ever installed a clear bra on a car?

I'm asking about my GTO - I just bought a full front end kit of 3M 8mil (includes bumper, hood, fenders, lights, and mirrors), and I'm wondering what it's gonna take to install it. Anyone have any experience with this stuff?

I've watched it being done, it's nothing I'd want to do myself 'cause I frustrate easily

Never done it but I've always wondered what was involved. Where did you get the kit? Be sure to keep us updated if you try this yourself!

I would assume it is applied like window tint. The way I apply my tint is a spray bottle with baby shampoo mixed in it, the reason for baby shampoo is because it lubricates the piece being applied and there are no or very little chemicals in it. Spray down both the piece being applied and the tint/paint protector. make sure both are really wet it will give your more working time. Then just force out the air bubbles with a credit card.... That is the way I have always done my tint.

I'd probable have it done, but if your going to try it, it HAS to be perfectly clean and smooth. I'd probable even wet sand it with 3000 grit to make sure it smooth. If there's any dirt or chips that stick up, they will cause bubbles. If you want to wait till I get there I will help you.
