Default anyone w/ info on building fiberglass sub box

like it says does anyone have any information on how to build fiberglass speaker enclosures.

yea, heres a very vague description. build the wooden skeleton, wrap that with a t-shirt or some stretchable cloth really tight and staplr it to the box, put some fiberglass resin on it (many layers and especially where you know there will be alot of pressure), sand it (not too late because its a bitch and not too early because its still wet), cover some pits with bondo, sand again, paint

well, as far as th ewooden skeleton goes, you have to know what your doing. Alot of math and getting the dimensions right...**** like that

yeah ive built speaker boxes before, first one at age 13. im just not familiar with the whole fiberglass side of it

Fleece works really good too and you can get big pieces at walmart

I think someone on this site in the truck sections does custom enclosures. I can't remember who though.

do you mean build one with wood then glass it over.i have tried a way with just fiberglass.i took a big card board box then cut fit it in the place where the box would be.made sure that the edges were sealed off wit tape.then i filled that bitch up with foam.let the foam harden then take the cardboard off then just shave, form the foam to the shape you want.glass over it.it worked pretty good.i am prolly going to try this for my truck
