Well of course the whole engine bay has just been completely dissassembled and reassembled so its still clean, but I used Eagle 1 tire foam to pull the dirt out of the hoses and armour-all to keep them shiny. The paint does the rest of the work keeping the shine

And I have no idea whats up with your avatar lol

Looks great man. How much time you have in all of it? I am assuming you took the acc brackets off, to paint them, no?? Also what exactly did you do to paint the cowl(part under the windshield). BTW the green is diff, but i kinda like it..

Thanks. I started around thursday evening, couple hours pulling apart. Spent all day friday getting everything I wanted painted out of the truck and ready to go to the painter, he picked all that up friday evening.

All night friday and all day saturday I scrubbed hoses, blasted block and frame with pressure washer, had my lil bro soak and clean out coolant tank, I painted the water pump, alternator and bracket, tensioner pulley bracket, A/C compressor....all that came off and was painted. Sprayed the frame. Re did all wire loom on entire harness. Polished up front of heads, and a small bit on the A/C lines and drier. Pulled the entire fusebox out and cleaned it up, pulled battery and re did the tray, pretty much all you can imagine. Relocated the ballasts for the HIDs as they were showing.

My guess would be around 40 hrs, because my stuff was returned to me sunday evening, had to put it all back in, then the fuel rail kept blowing the O-ring, had to fix that and the e-fans blew a relay, had to troubleshoot and fix that.

40 hrs or longer. The cowl, I just pulled off and gave it to the painter. he does all the rest and I dont have to worry.

should have left the water pump pulley black imo.but man it stands out so well, i really like it. i dont like that color (if i had to drive it ya know?) but the way you set it up, you have it looking very good and it's def a show truck look/DD look. i dunno...i guess you can say "Damn good job man! mad props to the time/labor you have in this"

oh and your water jug for the radiator did you atleast tape off a spot to see what the water level is? might be dumb, but i was wondering...

Thanks, pewter is a very boring color but it also has class I think. Try painting all that under hood stuff red or white to match the truck and It just looks tacky.

The painted part on the coolant tank is just a cover, it has a spot for the level to be read.
