Please dear god dont paint it Tangelo Pearl. Do something different. If I had a nickel for everything ive ever seen painted Tangelo Pearl I would have more nickels than you could haul in a dump truck. I think a modern touch on it would be nice. Like paint it arrival blue and put a modern themed interior in it. That would also follow suit with a turbo lsx build.
I like Tangelo Pearl but its been used on so many vehicles and other bs its played out like lambo doors on rice burners. The last show I went to there were 12 67-72 C10's that were painted some shade of orange. Everything from Hugger Orange to Sunset Orange Metallic to Tangelo Pearl.

I didn't know how popular tangelo pearl was. Never seen it on anything around this area. NO blue will be touching this truck though!! Remember my color change on the 02?!

Very cool man. Anxious to see what it ends up like. I'm sure it will look killer.
Looks like a decent truck with very little rust, but that is always the case until you really get into the thing. That rear bumper looks HUGE!
Keep us posted man!

It's amazing what a little wet sand and buff will do to an old single stage paint job!! This might keep me content enough with it to focus on getting it running rather than do a complete repaint immediately. Repaint is still going to happen, but might be able to cruise it and have a little bit of fun before tearing it completely down to the frame for the new paint!

nice truck. I'm also building a '68 (GMC but has Chevy grill) but mine is a stepside. I'm building a new crate 6.0L LY6 (think LQ4/L92 hybrid) and a complete frame up build. swapping out the VVT that the LY6 has for a hotter cam w/o the VVT. Based on same size 6.0L builds with similar cams/rectangular port heads, it should have over 500hp making it fun to drive.
Have fun with it! These old trucks (67-72) are fun (and easy) to build.

I personally would like to see someone paint a truck that body style HOK PBC58 Real Teal. A buddy of ours used it as a break up color for the stripe down the side of his 95 Silverado. Its an insane color when its out in the sun. It pops and grabs attention but its also subdued enough to be simple.

mine's huggar, there are atleast 4 others in this color I know of in the Houston area alone. I would recommend another color than any orange personally. That baby blue looks great on 67-68's imo. Here's an old pic, 3.5/5 drop and square body rallies. The yard was mowed and garden weeded later in the day of this pic
