Default broke my mirror, green stuff came out

so i backed out of the carwash a few days ago and smacked my mirror, broke the glass and the outside plastic protecting it. then i see later on this green crap on the mirror, and the side of the truck, from the heater for the mirror? anyways it came off easy but theres this other brown **** speckled the whole side of the truck and it won't come off for nothing, i know it came out of the mirror too but this is just nasty. it comes off with a fingernail but thats about it. anybody had this happen to them? this is on my new truck an 04 sierra w/turn signals in the mirrors

clay bar would probably get it off and would be far better for your paint

you mean the brown stuff or the green stuff?

paint seems to be ok, why the hell would they put stuff like that in the mirror, i mean it does happen where it can be smacked (like i did) and the mirror folded but i hit it too hard and it breaks.
