after driving with mine tonight on the highway it's pretty hard to justify the price. I was expecting alot more light output from them. They do light up signs alot earlier then regular bulbs

I think HID's ae the **** too! Projectors or not!

I think they were well worth the money too. I dont know what you mean by "I thought they would be brighter", I wont ever use my high beams again I can tell ya that much. Mabye you need to adjust them up a little bit so you can see the further? Thats what I did!

Also, all kits are different. Mine must be a litle brighter then most or something.

**I know exactly what cars you are talking about, I think the Acura TL is the worst.

I had to adjust my lights down because they were soo bright, much brighter than my high beams. Cops allready hastled me once went through a roadblock and got busted for side window tint (15%) $109 ticket, and said my lights looked blue they are 6000k which are very white, 8000K and up would be blue. No ticket for the lights I dont think he could have got me on anything.

Interesting. I went with GE Night Hawks which I've read are the brightest street legal bulb (kinda doubt that) and they did help quite a bit. They were slightly whiter then stock bulbs (I still have dingy stock headlamp housings) but with the quad beam high beam setup they blast what has to be a mile down the highway at night. I can literally see the little road side markers, or deers eyes, or anything that will reflect light well over 1/2 a mile, probably closer to 1 mile. They were like 20 bucks a pair and I've had them over a year so I can't complain too much.

What color did you go with? If you went over 5000k the light output is worse.

Really anything over 4300 it starts to deminish

4300k is what I got, I wanted the maximum light available. I drove the truck all weekend in the country, the HID's made a huge difference where there is no street lights.

I also added 9011/h1r bulbs from ds in the high beams, it was like daylight out there with the 4 high conversion
