Default C5 on the R10

Finaly finished the rear brake swap. I previously designed brackets to use the Dodge 1500 Ram brakes, huge, stoped great but didnt have parking brake:


Squeezed em in under the 17"s

After getting all the required measurements, I designed a second set of brackets to use the C5 rear brakes and utilizes the E-brake function:

I had the stock axles machined down to fit the rotor... like in the rendering here:



so it will fit in side the stock rotor:


Since these axles were pitted, I decided to order new axles from Mosier... they cut the axles down incorreclty, but worked out even better. Instead of cutting a notch/step in the outer face, they just turned it down to my spec of 5.90"... worked out even better.

So for those who have a gm10 / gm 12 bolt (truck rear end) and want disc brakes with parking brake that uses modern off the shelf parts here ya go:
