Has anyone put these in a vehicle other than a Denali/Escalade? I'm dying to have one in my 8.1L Yukon XL. I wonder if it would work and would I need the specific BCM for it also.

I've done it. I have one in my 02 Tahoe. I do have the Denali console also. I'm not sure about a new BCM for thw 8.1. My works just fine wired up the way I have it. If I remember correctly, there are 7-8 wires from the harness and 5-6 of then go the the radio harness. I cant remember off-hand, I did it about 2+years ago. Sorry about the crappy second pic..it's kinda old.

 

If you get a chance can you post a more detailed description how you did it, Ive been thinking of doing the same thing. Looks Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!
