IMO a 245 is WAY too narrow for that wheel... a 275/40/20 will be 29" tall, wont ride horrible like that 245/30, protect the wheel and look real good.

I run a 275/55 and I like the look of it but i ride stock hight. What do you mean by "bigger"? Taller? Wider? Both?

With a 4/6 drop, I would look at 275/45s,275/40s on all four rims. If your concered bout rubbing, then 265/45s,40s

we have a similure setup.... kindof. i have a 99 scsb dropped 4/8 with 265/35/22. i do not suggest running a smaller tire to achieve a lower truck, that will just make it ride like a wagon and look really stupid. my tire is 28.something inches tall i believe and want to get some 20's to gain more sidewall. if anything get a good size tire and buy lowering components, will save you money in rims and icy-hot for your bum after riding in it.

Post pics of what you are working with. I am going to guess that the original tire you asked about is way too small for your truck.

Also a tire that is 2 inches shorter will only drop the truck 1 inch. But the good news is that it will only give you one inch more fender gap.

The 275 should look good and help you drop the truck a touch more.

P.S. The R is for radial. The ZR is a Z speed rating that means the tire is rated for 150 mph. Z speed rated tires are the only tire I know of they put the speed rating in the tire size.
