Looks good! Can't see the imperfections in the pics. Try hitting them with some polish you would use on the paint of a vehicle, and then waxing them.

I tried some Meguires polish and then some Carnuba wax. That didnt seem to work as good as Mothers Plastic Polish. Although I used that after the first two.

If you wanted to have the smoke look just use VHT Nightshades instead of the translucent red. The VHT will cover everything up fine, you wouldnt have to do a layer of red.

sorry to change the subject but does the light still get through that nightshade pretty good, i know its illegal to be paintin your tails and ive seen some sets that its illegal for a good reason... jwin how good it gets through the paint?

well I've got the gmc tails and I wouldn't want any yellow showing through

Four coats of red covered the yellow so you couldnt even tell it was ever there. If you did the same with the Nightshades you wouldnt be able to tell there was yellow under it. You can use either red or smoke, one will be red, one will look black. They both cover really well.

thanks for the info. now I got build up the ***** to do it. I don't want to screw them up. my luck I would **** it up so bad I would need to by new lights.
