Default checkmate hard cover good? any other choices?

i have a 2004 silverado. i want a hard cover but want to spend under $400. i only found a checkmate cover to be that. are they good? i want a cover that will lock or is lockable with a tailgate lock, and one that can support the weight of snow on top and be able to seal out ALL water from the bed. any soft covers do this?

it wont prevent all water, since you do have stake pockets, and the fack its flush mount makes it harder to prevent water... but it will help a bit still

Well you could get a tailgate lock, but either way someone can just take a knife and cut right through a soft cover.

they do seal, but you need to think about it, its a rubber seal it will keep prob 90% of water out during heavy rain... not like the bed cant get a little wet, even with a rug itll be fine. stake pockets are those 4 (or 6 on long bed) square holes on the bed rails.

stake pockets are holes in the upper corners of the bed used to put racks in.

im not too worried about someone cutting open the bed. i just wanted something that locked and sealed out water. i plan to go in the snow in a few months and dont want it leaking in. a little water is fine during hard rains since my bed will be empty anyway.

i was looking at the Lebra cover. but the underside picture looked like the bows would stick up and be visible from the top. i hate that look. i just want it perfectly flat.

which soft cover is good that is on a hindge and is lockable?
