Default Chevy Avalanche seatbelts

OK, I recently acquired a pair of black leather avalanche seats from a friends shop. the truck was wrecked, and the driver side airbag ejected, and the seat belt no longer functions... im not concerned with the airbag b/c its going in my beater lowered truck, but i would like to get the seatbelt working. Is the seat belt ruined from the accident, or is it just possibly jammed and can be fixed inside the seat... any help would be hugely appreciated... im not familiar with interior stuff

I'm not 100% sure about GM, but I know that some other manufacturers use seat belt pre-tensioners that discharge during an accident, and the seatbelt must be replaced. If there's a yellow connector on the seatbelt (probably 2 pin) and a tiny cylinder, then that's probably the case.

If the belt's out of the truck and seems stuck, you gotta hold it perfectly still and verical. Tug it and it should recoil no prob.
