Cleaned Engine Bay & Shined it up a bit
So I hadn't really maintained my engine bay in quite some time. Read up on how to do this properly and saw a few videos on youtube. Decided what the hell lets do this!
I bought some APC from adams polishes as well as in & out spray. Also ordered some VRT.
Picture before the cleansing!
I took these pictures with camera phone as my camera was charging at the time.
I covered up the alternator just to be safe and over the MAF area. Sprayed down the engine bay with APC and let it sit for a couple minutes. started to scrub some of the areas that had alot sludge. Went ahead and sprayed it with the water house without concentrating on one area for too long. Started her up and let the engine warm up and help with the dying. I have a shop vac that I used to dry it as well. I noticed some spots were still a little dirty so while I let the engine cool down again, I removed the MAF and cleaned it out.
One of my good friends who restores cars for a living made me a couple of covers for my Volant airbox. A clear one and a smoked one. Not sure which one I like best. The clear one shows inside the airbox and you can see the K&N in there.
The smoked one looks great as well.
I got busy with the In & Out spray and started shining up my plastics and hoses.
