i wouldnt do them that way. you risk having the metallic start flakeing and melting as well.

i did this to my friends 01 gmc sierra headlights and signals........ i just took a knife and separated the housing from the clear plastic piece... it takes a while and must be done carefully not to break anything. took off the orange reflectors and put it back together with some clear silicone, never had any problems. I want to do it to my 06 but i dont really like how the headlights look without the reflector. Laynlow, are ur headlights cleared ??? can you post pics of them up close . or anyone who has 03+ silverado headlights cleared.?? thanks.

You put them in the oven on about 200 degree and wait for the plastic on the back housing to become loose. You pull the light apart and take out the amber lense. Buy some windshield sealer (clear silicone) and put the lights back together once they cool back down.
*DISCLAIMER* Don't warp the platic housing of the light by trying to pull it apart if it is not hot enough. Make sure to let the head light housing cool down before you try to put it back together. |

ive done a set clear and also a set with black reflectors....which ones do you want to see?
|
well, both......... some have black some have clear ??? or do you buy the reflectors ?? cuz the GMC lights i did, did not put a reflector in. just left them like that but they were shiny behind the original reflector so it matched the rest of the headlight.
