no, its just like any other paint. the only diff is that you have to spray a let down card first to see how many coats of pearl are needed to match whatever is on it. real body shops do it everyday without a flinch

>X<.. dunno where your from but there is no one around here with the pearl white on their truck.. i saw one truck and that was tonight and it was a prolly about a '70 c-10.. no one around here goes with factory colors if they repaint.. its always something outrageous, i dont want to stand out.. if i wanted to stand out.. id leave the thing yellow, and your talking about the quote i got, thats for me doin the body work and supplying the paint, and them just shooting the paint, 1800$!? heck no, id rather do it myself and actually have a connection with it when i get done, its not like ive never painted before, or have no clue whats goin on, and i dont think i ever said that nason was the best paint, i was stating what kind i was going to use, my autobody teacher has been doing this for about 40 years or so (was a bodyshop man for about 20) and he said that he's buffed many SS paints, if you buff them too fast then yea it will turn white, but if you take your time, it will look good. im not tryin to be an ***, but i dont want someone else painting my truck, id rather do it myself, spend 150$ on a paintjob ill appreciate really, and if someone asks who painted it (depending on how it looks lol) i could say me. 150$ or about 2k$? which would you guys go for?

people buff SS paint everyday, but not SS METALLIC, thats impossible. be careful who you listen to, if someone has been doing it wrong for 40 years its still wrong.

i vote do it yourself!
