i have the part # for the tahoes carmine red door handles, but 72U is not my color of dark carmine red. i believe mine is 51U. so this won't work. anyone know if there is a part number for mine. i know it is not this:

Carmine Red / Redfire - 72U

Did they make the Tahoes or Yukons in your color red (with the 51U paint code)?

Easiest way to find out, is to find a SUV with the right color door handles and give the VIN number to a GM parts department. They should be able to tell you the correct p/n for the handles.

i've seen tahoes that have similar paint, but for some reason when i always see it, the tahoe looks a little lighter. i think the silverados are different

If there wasn't a Tahoe or Yukon that had the exact same paint, then chances are GM doesn't make your color in a smooth painted door handles. What you could do is buy some other color handle and paint them, or sand down your stockers and paint them. You might want to buy an extra set of stockers (if you are going down that road) that way you could take your time with it, and your truck will still have door handles (PM me if are interested in some cheap stock handles.)

Other than that...have you checked other GM Trucks/SUVs to see if your color came in another vehicle? Maybe an Avy or Escalade?

yup, you can always pull the paint code and try to find a PPG dealer to get you some paint and spray some handles yourself

i still have paint left over from when i painted my bowtie. it is the exact color
