I didn't go through every post on here, but if you're painting that stuff, buy the paintable parts. It makes a big difference. They make non-chrome gm bumpers that are paintable as well as the bumper cap in the front. My rear bumper is the paintable gm as well as the front bumper cap. It will help to use them instead so that you don't get pealing down the road.
My bumper cap does chip REALLY easy though from rocks and stuff. No peeling issues though. Just make sure to use a good adhesion promoter before and after priming. I made the mistake of not using the promoter after the primer.

a cousin of mine used "bulldog Adhesion Promoter" before applying the primer and it has work great !!! he's had his front bumper cap painted for three years now with no chips or no peeling!!!

Wow Thanks, That helps and took some time to do.. I have been trying to do just what you have for a few hours now. I suck at Photoshop and Paintshop.
The black valance doesn't look to bad either..
Did manage to get the rear mocked up.

see, my problem with painting the bumper cap is if you have to do some work in the engine bay, what do I step on to get up there to work? That bumper cap. That's why mine is staying black and I got the matching lower valance.
