@cammed00, some *****! Lol
@2oo6bowtie, preping not a pain "unless" u want it flat like a hood or something. Lower valance unlike a hood is not eye level, so this is not an issue. The only way u can tell the texture is there is if u lie down on Ur stomach an look at it. Yea I could have took more prep time an smoothed it like I did my bumper cap, but I didn't feel it was nessary. Mine also had some deep gouges from scraping curbs or whatever, I didn't worry about those either and u cannot tell.

so besides the look, what has to be done just to make sure the paint STICKS and doesnt flake? i know the adhesion promotor primer of course, but what kind of sanding? thanks for the info!

In my pics you can see what i used. I started off washing plastic with simple green a time or 2, then using the bulldog about 2 coats, then primer filler 2 coats let that dry about 2 hours, scotch brited it an wiped the dust off from the primer, 2 or 3 coats of white, 3 coats of clear.
Yea i could have mixed up my "spray guns" but for such a small piece and a Valance at that i just used rattle cans.
