I ran 275-55-17's on my 04 Sierra with a 1/3 drop. Looked decent IMO. I tried a set of the 275-60-17's on the same truck and wheels and just didn't like it.

I got about 160 miles outta mine. LOL. Thats as long as it took for me to get them installed, decide I HATED them compared to the General Grabber UHP's and have discount tire order me another set of the General's.

I know others here really like the Proxes, but to me they felt WAY softer and heavier (if that makes sense) than the Generals. They just didn't perform like I was accustomed to. I got about 40-45K on my generals, and then I had a set of YokoHama AVS S/T's on my other truck. They were decent, but loud. They seemed to perform pretty well though, great wet traction, but they sucked for tread life. I maybe got about 20-25K out of those, and I wasn't burning them at every corner either.

I've always ran the Nitto 275/50/17's. You have to consider your truck's hight and if you plan to lower it. Otherwise if you get too low of a tire you'll wind up with big gaps between tire/fendewell.
