I do and have on pass cars - not on my trucks
On 2 of my cars - I only cut .75 of a coil
It brought the nose down enough to give me the rake I was looking for
maybe 3/4 of an inch or maybe an inch max.
It did not effect the ride.
If I want more of a lowering effect - I would use coils
Both of my trucks have new 2" drop coils.

I have cut a full wrap off of my coils and they don't ride that bad. Or maybe I just don't remember how it's supposed to ride. I don't find it bad though. The rear is my problem. I advise you not to pull a leaf spring to lower the rear. I put the DJM shackle, hanger kit and it rides ok but i'd like it to be better. I have auto zone air shocks right now for when I haul my rancher(4-wheeler). Does anyone know if I could get a better ride by swapping shocks.
