Default Dashboard peeling

I have a 2004 GMC and have a problem with the dash (grey in color) peeling paint. I want to fix it when I get back to the states. Does anyone have any suggestions on what is the best way to fix this...??? that will work and last...!! thanxs in advance

well you have some choices,

1 you can take it to the dealership and they will patch it in.
which in my experience will not last long.

2 you can cover it with a dash mat, looks tacky.

3 sand it smooth and paint it, looks awsum if performed correctly. if you have experience you can do it, or take it
to a body shop.

4 replace the dash for another 1, try a junk yard first, if not the dealership will carry it, just a lot of $$$.

5 or maybe this might work, and i mean MAYBE. try peeling the rest off, it should be black underneath the paint.

maybe other people have tried something else, and will chime in. good luck.

yeah you should color match it to the color of your truck....it looks real nice...

feather the damage out, spray it with bulldog and then sem dye

mine is doing the same thing . I think I will pull the dash and paint it if not to mutch work..

make sure you use a good adhesion promoter!

hey what part of psl do you live? i moved from there about 3 years ago.
